Appointments
Who do I see?
Routine appointments
There are several ways to get the medical advice you need. We offer face to face appointments, telephone consultations and advice via an online consultation (Accurx).
The practice has a ‘duty doctor’ system to ensure we always have enough capacity to deal with patients who need urgent medical attention the same day.
Appointments are available throughout the day during our opening hours. They can be booked using the NHS App/Patient Access app, by telephone or in-person at the reception, a week in advance for GP appointments and up to four weeks for appointments with other clinicians. Please select one of the below appointment types, to get the best suited help on time.

Pharmacy First – Your Go-To for Quick Healthcare
What is Pharmacy First?
Pharmacy First makes it easy for you to get healthcare advice and treatment for common conditions through your local pharmacy. No need for a GP appointment or prescription for issues like:
- Sinusitis
- Sore throats
- Earaches
- Infected insect bites
- Impetigo
- Shingles
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women
How Can Pharmacy First Help?
Pharmacy First provides prompt treatment and advice for these common conditions. Pharmacists might offer medications based on your needs, and all consultations are private. You can also be referred by NHS services like NHS 111 or your GP. If required, you can be referred back to your GP for further help.
Additional Support from Pharmacies
- Minor Ailments: Pharmacists can help with a variety of everyday health issues such as colds, flu, aches, pains, rashes, and cystitis. They can also assist with emergency contraception, pregnancy tests, and needle exchange services. No appointment is needed, and they will refer you to a doctor if necessary.
- Medication Advice: Pharmacists are experts in safely using medicines. If you have questions about your prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs, they can provide guidance. For new long-term medications, the New Medicine Service offers ongoing support. If you take multiple medicines, the Medicines Use Review (MUR) can help ensure you’re using them correctly.
- Repeat Prescriptions: Pharmacists can manage your repeat prescriptions, saving you a visit to the GP if your condition is stable. If any issues arise with your medication, your pharmacist can consult with your GP on your behalf.
- Healthy Living Advice: Pharmacies can support your overall health by offering advice on diet, exercise, and smoking cessation. They provide nicotine replacement therapies and regular check-ins to help you quit smoking and stay healthy.
Pharmacy First is here to make getting the care you need simpler and faster.

Urgent Appointments
The practice has a ‘duty doctor’ system to ensure we always have enough capacity to deal with patients who need urgent medical attention the same day.
We respectfully ask that patients consider their symptoms when requesting a duty doctor appointment. Please consider if you need to see a doctor so we have enough appointments for patients who do need to see a doctor the same day.
Telephone: 01789 269386
We are limited with services we can provide and equipment we can use in practice. Therefore, for some urgent issues we may suggest to attend either the minor injuries unit or A&E.
Out of Hours
When the practice is closed, you can contact NHS 111 for medical advice on urgent matters.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy. If your query is of a non-urgent nature and you can wait until the surgery reopens, we advise you to use our Online Consultation service instead. We will action your request within 48 hours of the practice reopening.
Cancelling your appointment
Please make every effort to keep your appointment. If you are unable to make it, please cancel it as soon as possible using the link below or by calling the practice. Your help will avoid a significant waste of NHS resources and is much appreciated.

Start hereEnhanced Access
Enhanced Access (EA) in General Practice refers to offering appointment times outside of standard office hours. This includes evening and weekend appointments to allow all our patients to access care.
We provide EA appointments every Monday and Thursday as well as various dates on Fridays and Saturdays to be confirmed. The service is also expanding to include specific clinics to be hosted during EA sessions.
Home Visits
We request that every effort is made to attend the practice as more comprehensive care can be given in a clinical setting. Home visits are available and are made at the discretion of the GP.
If you request a home visit, one of our GPs will discuss your condition with you further and arrange for you to be seen. Home visits are also available for those patients who are too unwell to attend the surgery.
Please try to call the practice before 10.30am to schedule a home visit.
